REV. OZRO W. WARDLAW
1938-1948
Born in Marietta, GA on July 11, 1888, he was the son of Francis Golden Wardlaw and Mary Jane Pharr Wardlaw. He attended Southwestern Presbyterian University, in Clarksville, TN, in 1913- 1914. He was married to Anna Rae Cox on November 27, 1923.
Unlike many of his predecessors, Rev. Wardlaw pastored French Camp and Huntsville Presbyterian Churches, but never served as President of French Camp Academy. He was, however, a member of the Board of Trustees for the Academy and was a tireless and active fundraiser and promoter for the school. During his tenure, a new manse was erected for the church on the southeast corner of School Street and Mecklin Avenue. Upon leaving French Camp, Rev. O. W. Wardlaw became pastor of the Presbyterian Church in Magnolia, Mississippi.
