Revelation 22:10-21

And he said to me, “Do not seal up the words of the prophecy of this book, for the time is near. Let the evildoer still do evil, and the filthy still be filthy, and the righteous still do right, and the holy still be holy.”

“Behold, I am coming soon, bringing my recompense with me, to repay each one for what he has done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the first and the last, the beginning and the end.”

Blessed are those who wash their robes, so that they may have the right to the tree of life and that they may enter the city by the gates. Outside are the dogs and sorcerers and the sexually immoral and murderers and idolaters, and everyone who loves and practices falsehood.

“I, Jesus, have sent my angel to testify to you about these things for the churches. I am the root and the descendant of David, the bright morning star.”

The Spirit and the Bride say, “Come.” And let the one who hears say, “Come.” And let the one who is thirsty come; let the one who desires take the water of life without price.

I warn everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: if anyone adds to them, God will add to him the plagues described in this book, and if anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God will take away his share in the tree of life and in the holy city, which are described in this book.

He who testifies to these things says, “Surely I am coming soon.” Amen. Come, Lord Jesus!

The grace of the Lord Jesus be with all. Amen.

Life of the Church

Historical Highlight Luncheon This Thursday, January 6, 12:00 pm with George & Fran Holman: We look forward to our first “HH” gathering since COVID began! We will start with lunch in the LSB then go to the Alumni Museum to see the 3D exhibit of how French Camp looked in the late 1800’s/early 1900’s. George & Fran, parents of Rebecca Edwards, are the artists who made the exhibit and did an amazing job! Note: Our wonderful cook, Marilyn Harvey, is unable to coordinate these meals due to her health; if you could help with either the food or serving, let Mary Nell know.

Congregational Meeting Next Sunday, January 9: Plan to stay after church for a brief meeting to approve the budget and get an update on progress with the building.

Upcoming Opportunity To Learn More About Our Church: We’re planning a special lunch after church next Sunday, January 9, for any who are either newcomers, have already expressed a desire to join, or have been coming for a while but haven’t joined. This lunch will be followed by several sessions during the Sunday School hour for any who may be interested in taking the next step in joining as a member or an associate member.

Ladies Bible Studies:

  • Monday Night Bible Study, 6:00pm: Precept Bible Study on Romans - Know God Deeply, Live Differently. January 10 - March 7 at the Welcome Center. Cost: $25. Contacts: Mary Sorensen or Sybil Clark

  • Tuesday Morning Bible Study, 8:30am: Jen Wilkin’s study - God of Covenant: A Study of Genesis 12-50. Starts January 11 in the LSB. Contact Jeré Littlejohn.

Gift to the Church: A donation has been made to the Building Fund in honor of Roy Purvis and Glen & Debbie Barlow, given by Kevin & Hannah O’Brien.

Update on Volunteers: Three volunteer couples will be working at the church and another group working for the Academy in January, starting January 10. They will be finishing up the work on the hallway and laying carpet in the classrooms of the Educational Wing and helping clean out and refurbish the old study. What a gift they are to our church!

Our Online Church Directory Is Now Available! Emails have been sent with a special password and a link to the online Directory. If you see needed corrections or are unable to access the directory online, speak with Mary Nell. (There is a copy on the back table you are welcome to look at!)

Church Website: We have appreciated Tekoa Miller Nantze’s tech support for our church’s website for the past several years. She will end her service as of January 14. Suzy Coblentz Matthews will be designing a new website for the church and provide tech support as needed.
