REV. ORAN WILSON SIGLER

1951-1952

Following the departure of Rev. Wardlaw in 1948, French Camp Presbyterian Church had great difficulty in finding and securing pastoral leadership for the congregation. Rev. Sam Patterson assumed the presidency of French Camp Academy in 1950, and actively sought to find qualified men to fill the pulpit. Rev. Sigler was among several pastors who served either as interim or stated supply during this time. Before coming to French Camp, he had served as vice president of the Birmingham Bible Institute in Birmingham, AL. He went on to pastor Anglin Street Presbyterian Church in Cleburne, TX, and later served as a high school counselor in various schools including Ivanhoe, Ector, Windham, and Trenton, TX.
